Denny Wirawan is one of the famous designers from Indonesia. Designers with various national andinternational works and achievements that are role models for young designersin Indonesia.
Known for his distinctive work in creating an irregular pattern in one style with the concept of unified layers, Hollywood young stars such as Atiqah Hasiholan were very enthusiastic about dressing him up by wearing collections from the designer.
Denny Wirawan’s involvement in preserving traditional Indonesian heritage is known as wastra which can be seen in his work, BALIJAVA by presenting ready-made fashion collections and luxury lines.
As for the ethnic collection, Denny Wirawan has produced and combined wastra which is a traditional Indonesian cloth such as batik, dyeing, hand woven and tied into its design since 2008.
In 2015, Denny Wirawan along with Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation collaborated on fashion exhibitions for the inaugural collection of Balijava Batik Kudus by presenting ready-made fashion collections using materials from Batik Kudus which also collaborated with Harper’s Bazaar Indonesia Magazine as its media partner.
The latest in 2016, Denny Wirawan again made Indonesia proud. Denny Wirawan with the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation brought wastra Indonesia to the world fashion stage, the New York Fashion Week (FGNYFW) Fashion Gallery, through Balijava ethnic lines with the collection of Batik Kudus.
A total of 15 looks, the latest designs of the fall and spring collections appear modern, edgy and elegant in the presence of fashion lovers who packed the Affinia Manhattan Ballroom in New York, on Sunday (02/14/2016).
