As a small business, it doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything to make it bigger. This is what Purdi E Chandra did behind the limited business that founded an education which initially had only one or two students, now has hundreds of thousands of students who are almost spread from Sabang to Merauke.
Purdi E Chandra was born in Lampung on September 9, 1959. Her business life began to emerge since she set foot on junior high school, when she raised chickens and ducks, and then sold her eggs on the market.
After hitting the world in the business world finally on March 10, 1982, when he and his friends founded the Primagama Test Guidance Institute (later became tutoring). When he founded his business Purdi was still listed as a student in 4 faculties from 2 State Universities in Yogyakarta. But because he felt “nothing got” he desperately left the world of education to wrestle the business world.
By “falling awake” Purdi runs Primagama. From only 1 outlet with only 2 students, Primagama gradually developed. Now Primagama students have become more than 100 thousand people per year, with hundreds of outlets in hundreds of cities in Indonesia. Because of this development Primagama was finally confirmed as the Largest Tutoring in Indonesia by MURI (Indonesian Record Museum).
Now Primagama has become a holding company in charge of more than 20 subsidiaries engaged in various fields such as: Formal Education, Non-Formal Education, Telecommunications, Travel Agencies, Restaurants, Supermarkets, Insurance, Furniture, Golf Courses and so on.
Although his busy life as an entrepreneur is very high, the Purdi organizational souls are still channeled in various organizations.
